With 21st Sep 2024 marking 'Zero Emissions Day', Kelly Becker, President at Schneider Electric UK&I, Belgium and Netherlands commented that "The climate crisis demands immediate action, making sustainability and decarbonisation essential business imperatives.

Despite this, Becker explains, "Almost half (49 percent) of UK businesses are delaying green investments. Therefore, this Zero Emissions Day cannot be seen as a gimmick, but as a necessary wake-up call.

“Improving energy efficiency and being more sustainable is the responsibility of everyone. From the cars we drive, to the buildings we work in, to the homes we live in. The technology exists today that will help us make the right moves – from electric vehicles to smart buildings and homes, to renewable energy sources feeding the national grid.

“By replacing processes that are currently reliant on fossil fuels with technologies that utilise green electricity, the UK can move towards a more sustainable future.
