Connect a sensor to the Cloud in 58 seconds

17 April 2019

In this video tutorial, CloudRail connects an IFM temperature sensor with Microsoft Azure in just 58 seconds using the CloudRail.Box. The aim is to transmit temperature values into the Microsoft Azure IoT Hub every second to display it in a chart.

The CloudRail.Box works seamlessly with IFM hardware, automatically recognising and configuring the IFM IO-Link Master as well as the temperature sensor, allowing for a true Plug&Play experience. The CloudRail.Box allows you to access data from industrial sensors as well as control things like tower lights, directly from a Cloud platform.

This video tutorial uses Microsoft Azure as an example, but CloudRail.Box also supports Amazon Web Services (AWS), IBM Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, SAP IoT and Alibaba Cloud IoT.
