Energy efficient machine design: live webinar looking at quick wins to reduce compressed air use
13 February 2023
Join us for an insightful webinar on designing machines that consume less compressed air and therefore improve the total cost of ownership for your customer.
Many manufacturers and machine builders recognise their responsibility to be more energy efficient and reduce their carbon emissions. Our presenters will discuss the latest techniques for designing machines optimised for compressed air usage.
With an eye on practical solutions that don‘t compromise performance or necessarily add to costs, they will focus on the following four application areas:
• Compressed air preparation – a forgotten commodity or an easy ‘low-hanging fruit’ opportunity?
• Selection of actuators – a chance to reduce size, reduce energy consumption and decrease moving mass and reduce cost, why wouldn’t you?
• Control systems – stick with what you always use, or the chance to optimise on consumption AND performance?
• Connection technology – so simple it doesn’t matter, or so simple it’s the easiest way to make improvements?
The 45-minute webinar will conclude with a Q&A session, where attendees can ask questions and get advice from our presenters.
This webinar is ideal for OEM design engineers looking to improve machine efficiency or develop energy-efficient machine options for their end users. It also suits manufacturers looking to develop or specify more efficient machines to reduce long-term maintenance and operational costs.
Presenters:
Lennard van Onselen is a specialist in the field of pneumatic connection, air preparation and measurement technology. In this role, he brings the latest product developments to the market and provides support for application queries. He is driven by finding the balance between an energy efficient and productive solution.
Peter Potters is a Product Manager for pneumatic motion, functional actuators and vacuum. He is motivated by finding the right solution for customers and the variety of application challenges. He enjoys problem solving using engineering tools to make machine designs more efficient and sustainable.
