Schneider Electric appoints François Disch as Digital Transformation Consultant – Industrial Automation Lead

Schneider Electric, the leader in energy management and automation, has appointed François Disch as Digital Transformation Consultant for the Industrial Automation business unit in UK and Ireland. Reporting to Martin Walder, VP Industry – Automation Europe, he will play a vital role in bringing to market the digital transformation journey offering for Schneider Electric’s Industrial clientele, working alongside customers to highlight challenges and opportunities for improvement.
François’s career includes leadership of various large-scale projects as an Industrial Automation Engineer before moving into consultancy. He joins Schneider Electric from Deloitte, where his focus was on applying his technical experience and business acumen to large scale transformation for the manufacturing sector.
Commenting on the appointment, Martin Walder said: “François’s extensive and specific experience makes him instrumental in growing the Industrial Automation division in UK and Ireland to new heights and help our customers achieve their digital transformation and sustainability goals. His unique mix of technical leadership and business consultancy skills, coupled with his passion for driving the charge beyond Industry 4.0 make him the perfect addition to the team.”
François added: “Industrial Automation has a significant role in ensuring a sustainable future for the UK’s manufacturing industry, which makes it an exhilarating time to be joining the business. The UK has the 9th largest global manufacturing output but is 24th when it comes to automation. There is a huge opportunity to bridge this gap. gap.
“My focus is on raising the productivity level for manufacturing organisations to drive quality and efficiency, assessing opportunities for onshore production, and maintaining the top-draw workforce experience Schneider Electric is known for. Enabled by a range of innovative digital solutions, this will ensure the Industrial Automation division continues to provide the most reliable, efficient, and sustainable solutions for customers.”
François is a strong advocate of the Scrum Agile Methodology, a project management technique characterised by its continuous phased improvement and levels of collaboration. As a certified Scrum Master, he has led a team or number of teams using Agile project management techniques and delivered coaching sessions on Agile, showcasing his knowledge and project management expertise. Outside of work, François is conscious of his carbon footprint and tries wherever possible to adopt circularity in his buying habits and use his bicycle to get around, including his commute to work and the school run.
François began his new position on January 1st, 2022, based in London, UK.
