RGNT Motorcycles chooses Telenor IoT to scale connectivity solutions

29 April 2022

RGNT Motorcycles is an ambitious Swedish electric motorcycle manufacturer that aims to combine the latest innovations with timeless design. Launched in 2019, RGNT’s handmade motorcycles were borne out of founder Jonathan Åstrom’s desire to silence the streets in the west and reduce toxic emissions.

With Telenor IoT’s connectivity service, RGNT can deliver GPS and OTP (one time password) functionality, automatic software and design upgrades, and security to its customers while maintaining style and speed. With the goal to connect 10,000 vehicles, starting with 500 in 2022, RGNT was looking for a scalable solution for its geographical coverage needs, as well as security and low supervision to maintain fleet control.

With access to over 500 networks in 200+ countries, Telenor IoT has partnered with companies wishing to secure reliable connectivity while being able to scale at pace. Alexander Lewandowski, Head of Design at RGNT says, “Besides its strong customer record and long market experience, Telenor IoT created a secure, cost-optimised solution by taking the time to understand our roadmap, which was key to our final decision.”

RGNT motorcycles is currently hitting the roads in the EU, Switzerland, Norway and Monaco, with plans to expand into the US and other countries. “RGNT’s philosophy is about creating a sustainable product that will last for a long time,” says Paulo Vergos, Chief Nordic Sales Officer at Telenor IoT. “With Telenor IoT’s reliable service, RGNT can focus on creating functional, beautiful motorcycles, without worrying about their connectivity.”
