New capacitive IO-Link sensors in AISI316L stainless steel or PTFE housings

07 October 2020

Carlo Gavazzi has enhanced its range of CA18CA and CA30CA TRIPLESHIELDTM capacitive sensor range with AISI316L stainless steel or PTFE housings.

This makes them the ideal solution in environments where acids, alkaline, solvents and other aggressive liquids or fumes are present.

The CA sensor family are packaged in the company’s 4th Generation TRIPLESHIELDTM robust housing complete with integrated IO-Link communication; offering electro-magnetic immunity, temperature stability, IP69K degree of protection, chemical resistance, dust and humidity allowance, as well as being EcolabTM certified.

Available as M18 or M30 in both flush and non-flush versions and including an extensive feature list such as configurable output/input: NPN, PNP, Push-Pull, external input to suit, the output can be configured to normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC), ON, OFF and One shot from timer functions, logging functions for temperature, operational hours, power cycles, configuration changes and alarm outputs for low or high temperature and dust.

Variable sensing distance, hysteresis, set points and all other parameters can all be adjusted dynamically in situ and changed on the-fly. Sensing modes can be set to single point, two point or window mode.

Updating to an IO-Link sensor isn’t costly either and can be tailored to meet your individual needs and requirements providing you access to a multitude of configuration parameters and advanced functionalities, all whilst allowing for simple replacement of devices without little technical knowledge.

The CA18 and CA30 range of capacitive IO-Link sensors are the ideal solution for markets such as Agriculture, Food & Beverage, Plastic & Rubber, HVAC, Materials Handling and Food & Beverage and, as with all Carlo Gavazzi products, CE and UL certified.
